Ludovica Serratrice

Ludovica trained as a translator and interpreter in Milan (Italy) where she also completed her undergraduate degree in English and French literature. She received an MA in Language Acquisition from the University of Essex in 1995 and a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Edinburgh in 1999. She now works at the University of Manchester where she teaches language acquisition, clinical linguistics and bilingualism.

Ludovica’s main research interests include the acquisition of Italian and English in monolingual and bilingual contexts in pre-schoolers and school-age children.
