Martha Crago received her B.A., M.Sc. and Ph.D. from McGill University. She was a professor and Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at this same university before becoming a Vice-Rector of International and Institutional Relations at the Université de Montréal and, more recently, Vice President of Research at Dalhousie University.
Still an active researcher, Dr. Crago studies language acquisition across various languages and learner groups. Her work has been published in numerous journal articles and two books. She is the editor of Applied Psycholinguistics published by Cambridge University Press.
Dr. Crago has also served as President of the Canadian Association of Graduate Studies, as a member of the Board of the Council of Graduate Schools of the United States and was invited by the Canadian government to become a member of the University Advisory Group of Industry Canada, the Canadian Ministry responsible for national research councils, and the Standing Committee for Fellowships and Career Development of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
